Wye Organic, Welsh Bicknor, near Ross on Wye

Overview

Wye Organic is based on an old-fashioned mixed farm in the south of Herefordshire, in one of the most iconic parts of the Wye Valley. The farm has been organic for over 20 years and combines a traditional market garden producing vegetables and flowers, with extensive pasture for rearing beef, lamb and wild venison.

If you visit us in the summer, along with abundant vegetables you’ll find ancient pasture filled with mixed grasses, wildflowers and even the occasional thistle and clump of nettles. With cattle untroubled as you walk past and sheep grazing through shoulder-high grass, even light footsteps will throw up clouds of insects and songbirds to mark your path.

It’s a system of farming many have turned their back on but which we still believe in: mixed regenerative farming as we think it should be.
