We’re Alice Sidwell and Jonny Watler, and we’re based outside Abergavenny in the village of Llanvapley. We grow our produce on a half-acre plot that’s been tended by Alice’s family using organic principles for almost 40 years.
We provide fresh, seasonal, chemical-free veg boxes within a 10-mile radius of our garden via our Community Supported Agriculture scheme (CSA). Our CSA runs for 6 months of the year, with members signing up for the whole season. In return members receive a weekly share of the harvest, along with opportunities to join us for events and work days at the garden.
We also supply our delicious mixed salad leaves to several local retail outlets and food businesses.
We open our CSA to new members in early spring, and provide weekly veg boxes to our members every Thursday afternoon from June to November. We plan carefully to ensure that as much of the produce as possible comes from our half-acre garden. But from time to time we may include items from other trusted local growers, to boost variety for our members.
Home delivery is included in the price.
We believe that fresh nutritious food should be available to everyone and offer a sliding scale of payments, so that people on a range of incomes can access our shares. This also helps us support our work with Abergavenny Food Bank. For more details on how our CSA works, just visit our website.
You can buy our popular mixed salad bags in Abergavenny from the Angel Bakery in Cross Street.
