We’re Rob and Zoe Proctor and our family-run market garden lies on the edge of Gilwern, in the Clydach Gorge. We provide fresh, seasonal veg boxes to the local area through our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) approach.
Tir Awen, has grown out of a single sack of potatoes, gifted to us by a neighbour with a request that we planted them for the community at the start of the pandemic. Our enterprise is an exploration of how we can live in balance with nature whilst producing food that nourishes both body and mind. To that end we use regenerative practices, promoting soil health by taking a no-dig approach that is entirely chemical and pesticide free.
Tir Awen is able to provide for up to 50 households with a share of our harvest. We invite you to become a member of our CSA and receive a weekly veg box for 46 weeks of the year, delivered fresh to your door. Committing to getting your veg from us each week means we can plan, plant, grow and harvest what we need to fill our weekly boxes with fresh local and seasonal veg, safe in the knowledge that it will be sold and eaten.
We keep waste to an absolute minimum, providing re-usable boxes and only using additional packaging when absolutely necessary to ensure an item reaches you as fresh as it left our garden. Boxes are delivered in a zero-emissions electric van. We’re committed to growing sustainably, and with our optimum 50 customers we can ensure there’s plenty of space on our land for nature and wildlife too.
